Header Tags

Header Tags

h1, h2, h3, etc are considered as Header Tags. To categorize text headings on a web page, Header Tags are used in HTML coding. They create titles and names of major topics on a web page. These activities help web visitors and Search Engines to understand the missions and objectives of that web page. Header Tags use a cascading format, and thus, a page should have one H1 or the main title. At the next positions of H1, you can create multiple H2s or subtitles. Just like H1s, each of these H2s can also have sub-titles or sub-sub titles like H3s. Do not forget these following points-

  • H1 is used only once on a web page and in most cases, these tags mention the main titles.
  • You can see multiple H2s on a web page and they act like subtitles.
  • Just like H2s, you can find multiple H3s and they act like subtitles of each H2. They are also known as sub-subtitles.
