In HTML, rel is an attribute of links. The term “canonical” refer to the rel attribute. It connects or creates links with the website or any other authoritative site where contents are used or referenced. In Digital Marketing, a canonical page is considered as such a page which contains the original contents. Search Engines can identify duplicate contents only on the basis of original contents of canonical pages.
