A crawler or bot is an automated program which visits and explores different websites. Such crawler or bot is known as Spider. However, there are spam spiders also which visits websites for nefarious reasons. Google Analytics shows them as junk traffic. Search Engines like Google use spiders or crawlers to crawl different websites. They evaluate websites and they are ranked if they fulfill certain conditions. Similarly, these evaluations affect ranking positions of ranked websites.
